When You Have A Claim.

2/16/2012 7:02:08 PM

When you bought insurance from us, you bought a promise from us and now that you've had a claim it's time to fulfill that promise.  So what happens now?

We at Doubleday Insurance Agency, Inc. are proud of our commitment to serve you and we will do everything possible to make your experience with us a positive one whether an auto insurance claim, a home insurance claim, or any other type of insurance claim.

When you notify us of your claim, we inform the carrier who then assigns an adjuster to personally handle your claim.

Your adjuster will answer your questions and give you additional information about the claim process.  We understand that any loss is of great concern to you.  We respect your concern and will treat you with courtesy and empathy throughout the claim process.

Some of the adjuster's responsibilities include:

     1.  Explaining the insurance coverage applicable to your claim.

      2.  Thoroughly investigating your loss.  We are working to help you and to protect your interests.  This may involve            providing us with more detailed information about your loss.

      3.  Explaining the adjustment process to you and keeping you informed about what's happening.

      4.  Making prompt decisions and settlement.  Sometimes, after settlement, you may still have questions.  We are                always available to answer them.

      TEAMWORK

The claims process would be more difficult without your input and cooperation.

We understand that this process may be bothersome at times, but by working together we can help the process along with as little interruption to your life as possible.

Some things you can do to help

      a.  Make sure we know how and when to reach you.

      b.  Keep what we send to you for handy reference.

      c.  Cooperate with your adjuster.  The adjustment process can be successful only when teamwork exists.

      d.  Ask questions if you do not understand issues.  We are here to provide you with information.

      e.  Immediately direct to us all correspondence and inquiries you receive from others about your loss.

    IF PROBLEMS OCCUR:

Even though we attempt to handle your claim professionally, we realize that problems can occur.

If your needs or expectations are not being met, we want to hear about it.  Please feel free to call to discuss your concerns.  Call us at 1-888-464-0637 or 515-964-0637 anytime you have a problem or question.

REMEMBER, we are not an 800 number is some other part of the Country.  We are your personal agents and we want to help so please call us for any claims questions on auto insurance, home insurance or any other insurance claim you may have with us.
